Fast Food Delivery

Finding The Best Insurance Deal

bringmyfood.co.uk, the food delivery website

How do I get the cheapest fast-food delivery insurance?

For a start you could try giving a few details to our panel of brokers. Unlike most other websites we do not deal with a particular insurer or broker, but we have access to a large panel of them. This is particularly useful since we are all unique individuals with unique circumstances; such as the types of vehicle we want to use for deliveries, the kind of food we wish to deliver, the area we wish to deliver in, our ages and levels of driving experience, and numerous other factors. Most brokers specialise in finding policies for certain types of clients such as young drivers, highly experienced ones, those with a good claims record, or perhaps those living in inner city areas. This means that relying on just one company may not be the best way for you to get the best deals.

By having a large panel of brokers available our clever selection system can put you in touch only with those we believe are best able to find competitive quotations for you to compare.

Needless to say all our brokers are fully authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, which means that they have been thoroughly vetted to ensure that they will give clients their best possible service.

Isn't it more expensive to buy through brokers?

Hardly. This is the way that billions of pounds worth of insurance business is conducted every year, despite the existence of price comparison sites! Also, please bear in mind that practically every policy that is sold through a price comparison site earns that site a substantial commission from the insurer, in the same way that a brokerage is likely to earn a commission on any insurance that you buy through them.

Can I not buy my insurance through a price comparison service?

Companies such as Money Supermarket, confused.com, Compare the Market etc can usually do an excellent job of sorting through routine motor insurance policies that sell by the million; but specialist insurance like this is almost invariably handled by brokers. A good broker should be able to find you competitive quotations from a number of different insurers, but perhaps most importantly of all you will have someone to rely on to give you good advice to make sure that you do not waste money on the wrong policy, or worse still find yourself accidentally uninsured.

Should I buy a third party only policy?

By all means get quotes for third-party, or third party fire and theft policies, as well as comprehensive ones but be prepared to find out that these inferior options are not as cheap as you think they may be. Over the years we have carried out many checks on third-party policies and we have found that not only do they often offer poor value for money but they can be more expensive than comprehensive policies that offer far higher benefits.

This is because in the past people who have bought these policies have, on average, had a much higher accident rate than normal, and so even though the drivers' own vehicles were not covered the insurance companies found themselves paying out a far higher level of claims that they had with their comprehensive clients. This has led many insurers to either greatly increase the cost of third-party policies or drop them completely. So yes get quotes for them if you wish but also get quotes for comprehensive cover; and you may be in for a pleasant surprise.
